I have dieted in the past and I found myself obsessingly weighing myself every day. This time it was no different. Day one and I alrealdy gained a pound! This makes me nervous. I will just have to wait it out and see if the weight finally begins going in the right direction. Definitely going to be an uphill battle for me, but I am determined.

The negative is that I didn't meet my dietbet goal, but there are so many positives. I lost about 7 lbs in one month. Not too shabby. My diabetes went from a 13 in the mornings to an 8. Pretty friggin good!!!! I have to remember that the most important thing here is to control my diabetes. Secondary is to weigh less and fit into a size 14. I will still keep low carbing it, but I won't focus too much on time span as it could demotivate me.
Ok, I promised I would document this experience, only I stopped documenting when things went wrong, but here is what happened. I stuck through and never cheated. I didn't exercise. Never have, really. I lost two pounds and then put it back on. Now I lost the two again. This makes me 2.6 pounds away from my goal. This is never going to happen for the 8th of December. In any case, I have to figure out if this has been worth it for me. The answer is ...........YES!!! TOTALLY! For one month, I was able to stick to this for fear of being embarrassed. Losing the money hurts too. But here is the thing... I was able to lose 7 lbs which is more than I have been able to do in the past two years. So the money was totally worth it. Now that I know how my body works, I won't be doing another bet because the goals are too aggressive for me and I can't seem to control my weight. I have joined another bet. The StepBet. At least this I have direct control over.
I prepared my lunch for the week. I love Chinese food and decided to make pork belly with garlic stems. Delicious. Packed 4 containers for the rest of the week and put it in the fridge at work. This way, there is no "forgetting" to bring my lunch and having to go out to buy it.
Keep going. I did the same thing. I HAD to have some patience and TRUST the process. It worked.
my weight constantly fluctuates as well with my swelling issues so I definitely understand!!!!
