I'm so excited! I'm actually 63% of the way to my goal and there are still 11 days left in the bet. I'm going to use that excitement to pump myself and lose even more.
I've been in 3 Dietbets before this one, and something always came up. I had to move during two of them. One of those, I actually met my goal weight, but got so busy moving that I didn't get to weigh in. Plus my new quarters didn't have cell service.
During my last bet, I was on track to make it, but I let vacation slip me up. I had a friend visit for 3 days the 3rd week of it. Then my boyfriend, the kiddo, and I had vacation the last week of it. I still lost overall, but not enough to win the dietbet.
This weekend coming up, I'm going to see my guy and the kiddo for the weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I've got to make sure I don't slip. That's so close to the end of the bet. I called my guy and told him how close I was and asked him to remind me while I'm there that I'm so close to winning my dietbet. He said he will and that we can try to cook at home more, too, which will really help reduce the temptation to overindulge.
I've already got dinner and lunch made for the next 4 days, mostly chili lime tilapia with kale sautee and thai roasted chicken with mushroom & leek stir fry. I work today through Thursday, so I need to find time to make some more healthy meals. My niece is staying with me Sunday night so she can see the eclipse Monday, since her school won't let the kids watch it.
