I absolutely love online communities that are active where people share their progress, ups, downs and successes. I get the chance to live vicariously through other people.
I used to be a frequent user of Sparkpeople, but in recent years have grown bored of it. Myfitnesspal has a very active community as well.
Yesterday, I began thinking about how I would like to try again to lose weight (the last time I tried was over the summer) and I Googled the term "Weight Loss Community" and DietBet came up as one of the first search results.
After poking around I found a DietBet game that was only $10. I figured "why not?"
I took the neccessary pictures and here I am.
While I am not very competitive, I do love gamble and enjoy socializing with a group. I am hoping for money and entertainment via an active online community.
While I have practiced calorie counting and exercising with a heart rate monitor in the past, my most recent form of dieting/weight loss has included intermittent fasting. I had the most success with an 16:8 split- I would fast for 16 hours and then eat my alloted calories within 8 hours.
I lost about 8 pounds doing this and it wasn't as hard as I imagined it would be.
I think I will try to do 16:8 again with this weight loss challenge. I have between now and the end of my winter break on January 7th.
