I agree, woke up a few weeks ago and felt like starting immediately, not waiting for the new year. I signed up that evening for a game that weekend! Has helped to have a goal and prevent holiday weight gain as well as losing weight, better position for making progress than a few more weeks of unchecked eating at the holidays. I've skipped several potluck parties that usually involve too much overeating, and done healthy activities instead, like walking to see holiday displays, so fun stuff together with friends with less food.
