I have been struggling to keep alcohol out of my diet. It's been hard. I feel like I can be all week, and then the damage done on the weekends is brutal. I am reading the book This Naked Mind and I have to say out of any thing I have read concerning cutting back or stopping alcohol completely, this book is making the most impact. I have not touched a drop since starting the book, and I feel empowered.

I also joined the Labrada 12 Week Transformation Challenge, which I started last year, but I gave up. Again alcohol crushing my plans. There are many weight loss challenges going on around me, but I feel like when I do one at my gym that it's so easy for the plan to fail once someone gives in. "Oh well, maybe next time."

I feel like I can hold myself accountable with this 6 month dietbet and doing the 12 week challenge in the middle. I also think changing my outlook on drinking and the general stigma associated with not drinking is the best possible mentality I can have to lose weight and live a better life.
