I started Grad school back in May/2016. I also worked full-time, night shift in the ER. Since then, I have gained 25 pounds, mostly due to stress eating and eating not so healthy food. It is difficult to find the time to prep meals and work-out when all I want to do is sleep or finish a discussion post and an assignment. None of my clothes fit me, and for the first time in my life, I bought shirts size large. I recently had a physical and blood work done; my cholesterol and LDL levels are elevated. My goals are to lose 25 pounds, fit into my old clothes, lower my cholesterol level, eat hearty food, and continue to live a healthy lifestyle. So, here I am, a member of Dietbet group, hoping to reach my goals by the summer.

Sign in to CommentI had this issue too, when I had a job and was working 70-80 hours per week. I saved time but cutting all my veggies for snacks on Sunday night, or buying cut veggies from salad bars or buying a veggie platter and eating it over a week or so myself. Can get very quick to prepare frozen dinners and canned soups which are satisfying and easy, or make your own soup and freeze into portions, or prepare chicken etc and serve with freezer packs of steamable veggies quickly. Not sleeping enough can also cause weight gain, if you can add that to your list of things to try and do, I sometimes only had 2-4 hours sleep per day, and that makes you very hungry and susceptible to cravings...
Congrats on grad school, and making your health a priority., and joining Diet Bet. You got this!!
