I did my first workout in a long time this morning! I'm proud. I purchased BeachBody's PiYo workout series featuring Chalene Johnson (Turbo Jam, Turfo Fire, Chalean Extreme). It is a yoga/pilates hybrid and I liked it. The first workout was just an instructional thing showing you what she means when she says 'open your hips' and downdog split vs downdog open or something like that. I was still sweating and feeling the stretches. I have been worried about my flexibility for awhile now, so I think the yoga aspect of PiYo will help work on that.
Weight loss should be a side effect of the workout series, but I really do want more flexibility. The weight loss will just be a nice bonus.
Here's to eating right today, drinking water today, and being grateful for who I am.
