Today is October 20, 2014 and I started my weight loss journey in January of this year.
When I made this healthy change I did it for my daughter. I really wanted to be able to play on the floor with her, chase her around, and be around for all of her significant milestones. At the end of 2013 certain tasks were becoming more difficult like climbing stairs and getting up off of the floor. It took seeing my aunt Lise lose over 70 pounds to make me realize that I could do that too! She really is quite the inspiration!
They say it takes 21 days to train your brain. I 100% agree with this statement! If you think 3 weeks is too long then you haven't tried this theory. I first cut out chips and pop. I was eating chips almost everyday and drinking more than one pop. My advice for today is take one bad thing that you like way too much and try cutting it out for 21 days! If you read this blog, I would love to hear about how you felt on day 22!
How did I get to where I am today? Eating chips and pop and all the tasty foods.. in moderation! I started my weightloss journey at 204 pounds. I have learned how to maintain my weight as I have been around 170 pounds since my last dietbet at the end of the June. I work out five days a week and in my opinion eat pretty good during the week. Weekends are my weakness. There are always parties and get togethers with all of the tasty foods that we all hate to love!
Today is my cut off date for the next 21 days again. I know that the dietbet goes beyond this but 21 days has proven over and over again that it works for me. I hope to reach my goal of 140 pounds by my 30th birthday in May of 2015. Hopefully by keeping a blog it will encourage me to stay on track and 100% focused on my goals.
I wish everyone success in acheiving their goals!
Cheers!
