Well, this week has its own set of challenges. Last week, I was carbo loading, which was affecting my ability to drop weight quickly. I weighed in yesterday and had dropped a little bit for a total loss of 1.7 pounds. This week, I am reminded that the body needs time to heal after running 26.2 (or 21.5) miles, so I haven't been able to exercise very much.

Yesterday, I walked 2.89 miles and burned a whopping 181 calories. I managed to finish the day with 98 calories to spare.

Today, my fiance came to town, and we went to Popeye's for lunch. I only ate half of my fries and half of my biscuit, and just those sacrifices shaved off 260 calories from my meal -- it is incredible how many calories can be a fast food meal. I would've been over for the day at lunch time if I had eaten the whole thing.

I have not exercised, and I only have 36 calories left for today. I might have to go to bed early to avoid urges for late night snacking--ha!

One thing I have discovered is that I am much less hungry when I am properly hydrated, so I am keeping a glass of water with me whenever possible. I want to win this DietBet. Just 3.9 pounds to go!
