Oh man.

Not only did I go on vacation, and was gone away from the comfort of being in charge of all food, but I was going to the coast!

Saltwater taffy, truffles, candy, sugar, FOOD! Tons of it!! I used to just go on vacation TO EAT! Now what? I had no idea what to expect.

Night one was the hardest. I almost said "fuck it all!" and plow down the onion rings sitting in front of my daughter, but something inside of me was saying "no, not this time!" and I continued eating my chefs salad.

Every day I said no. Every time I said it, I felt a little stronger. I little more confident. I even said no when my stomach was growling, just waiting for the opportunity for a better food to put in my body. I ended up splurging a bit on a fresh grilled cheese (we were in tillamook land after all) with ham, but got a side salad instead of onion rings. :) I also got ONE truffle, and enjoyed every single bite. I counted every single calorie, and found myself over about 400 every night.  I tried adding "hot tub" to MFP, but they wouldn't let me!!

Last night, when I got home, I weighed in.

Starting weight was a little over 326, after 4 days, I had dropped down to 320, last night, I weighed in at 324. This AM, I was 320 again. Not counting that one since I'm trying to space my weigh-in's to 4 days, but still.

I think the lesson learned here is:

Sleeping makes you lose more weight than anything! :)
