Confession

I lost Round 1 by .9 pounds. The old "Me" would be beating herself up but NOPE, not the new "Me".  

Sabotage Happens

I did an excellent job being out of town during the Thanksgiving trip to Sin City.  I ordered wisely at restaurants, stuck to eating clean at Mom's house & even skipped on eating the pumpkin pie on T-Day. There was a pair of 3 lb weights collecting dust in her closet so I made sure to put them to use & did my reps outside in the desert sun, fun!  I did an awesome level 3 hike to the hot springs over by Boulder City and on another day, hiked around gorgeous Red Rock Canyon.  I returned home over the weekend, stepped on the scale and was ecstatic to see that I'd lost weight!  

So why didn't I win?  I celebrated my weight loss too soon by drinking & "rewarding" myself with junk food (darn you peanut M&M's & cini-mini donuts) and those lost pounds quickly reappeared on the scale.  Some reward - not!  

"I'm not hungry, I'm just bored."

Le$$on has been learned.  I've become even more aware of what I'm eating, noticing the difference when/if I'm hungry, back on track and keeping it moving.  Time to kick Round 2's A$$!
