I ran the Resolution Run 10km last night and got it done, but it was harder than it should have been: being heavier and out of shape means that my heart rate was higher than I would like. Even though I was going slowly, I was huffing and puffing like Darth Vader! 

I love the Resolution Run - there are both 5km and 10km distances and it's held in many different cities. There are tons of families participating and it feels great to end the year with a run. They don't give out medals, but participants get a jacket. My only gripe is that I wish it was still held at 18:00 instead of 18:45, so that it's easier to go home, eat, change and then go out afterwards.

My legs felt good while running, but today my quads are sore - not sure if it was from the run or from the stretching program I just started. It could be both.

Today is a rest day and a day off of work. My challenge is going to be to not eat too much and to keep tracking my food.
