I herniated a disc in my neck 2 years ago. And had spinal discectomy and c5 c6 fusion. Basically they pulled a bad piece out and replaced it with a metal plate and 4 screws. It still hurts like a mofo!  I also have 4 kids.  Okay 2 of them aren't technically mine, but they live with me and we love them like they are ours. So anyways I have gained 30 pounds in the last two years. It happened slowly a pound here and there.  But I decided that I was going to work through it.  Enough of my excuses, I'm busy, I'm big boned, I'm tired. Aren't we all? I want to be a good example for my kids and be  healthy for my hunky hubby.  :)   I married my high school sweetheart and he loves me no matter what shape I'm in.  But I realized I want to be healthy.  For my family but mostly for myself.  So this week I dug deep. I came up with an eating plan that works for me. And I forced myself to walk 4 miles a day.  And I am finally seeing results.  I have lost 9 pounds this week. I ate all day long. (Okay I probably ate my weight in cucumbers) but I made sure that I ate healthy and worked out every day. This week for the first time in years I said goodbye to the over 200 lbs and hello to the 190's. I plan to post pictures every week. I am bizarrely competitive and dietbet helps to hold me accountable. Just the kick in the yoga pants I needed.  Stay focused guys and let's happily loses a little bit of ourselves !
