Hi Vicki, I know what you are going through. I've been trying to average 10000 steps per day for one year and I am at 82% of that goal. The first thing I do in the morning is clip my omron to my pajamas and don't take it off until bedtime. I am taking long walks in The morning for at least one hour but when I don't, I just find reasons to walk. Park farther away from work or the store, pace when I am at home cooking or whatever and many times I will just walk back and forth in my house to get the steps in. I will put on my earphones and just walk in the house.
I don't get too concerned about speed, that comes naturally over time. All I want is those steps. Good luck to you, I'd say you are well on your way.

What are you using to track your steps?

lolol...I agree super cold or with a ton of tiny crushed ice and through a straw or a sports cap. I also put a lemon in it or sometimes a pinch of koolaid powder. I think Im weird sometimes cuz I can drink so much more water that way than just a glass. Soda is still a struggle for me, but hoping to have it completely out of my diet soon.
Good job on starting your day off right!

Good work! I, too, am not a huge fan of water. I've started slicing up a piece of fruit and adding a few leaves of basil or mint to mine. Makes it sooooo much better. I enjoy strawberries, lemons, cucumbers and melon the most. Keep it up!

Thanks for sharing! I can totally relate, as my grandfather was that figure for me. He never picked on me for my weight and always seemed to just enjoy my company. I know how hard it is when you are grieving. For me, it was easier to eat pizza than deal with my feelings. Good luck on your journey :-)
