I hope everyone is having a great Day 3 of their journey!

“Did you workout today?”

My mom and I are extremely close and talk on the phone at least twice a day. She is my biggest supporter and knows that I am much happier when I’m working out and eating healthy - even when sometimes I do not know this myself!

In the past when life became too stressful, not exercising was the solution to making it through the day. I would tell myself that it’s not worth doing T25 when I was thinking about the 100 other things I needed to be doing with my time.

During our daily conversations, my mom occasionally asks, “Did you workout today?” On days that I exercise, the answer is simple - yes! On days when I am too stressed to workout, this was my least favorite question in the world. I knew that I needed to stay on track, and that T25 is only 25 minutes of my day, but stress is paralyzing! And once I fall off track and miss a workout, it’s twice as hard to get back on.

I have realized that living a healthy life style has everything to do with state of mind. “Did you workout today?” is my mom asking a simple question about my day. However, on the days where it has been awhile since my last workout, it feels like she is saying “You need to workout today” - not what she was saying at all!

It is only Day 3 of the Diet Bet, and my motivation to exercise and eat healthy is mostly fueled by the excitement of change! I’m currently caught up in the momentum! The real lifestyle change will be when the momentum is gone, stress starts building up, and the temptation to skip T25 has returned - when this day comes, I will be ready to say “yes” when “Mom” lights up my cellphone!
