Always makes me giggle when people talk about adopting a new lifestyle, since it always reminds me of swingers (apparently The Lifestyle is a euphamism...). Anyhoo.. I've been thinking about dropping booze from my diet. I'm sure it would help me lose weight, but you know what? I don't want to be on a diet. I want to adopt a healthier lifestyle that I can live with. So, the booze stays. What I AM willing to do is cut down and stay away from high sugar drinks and beer. Instead. I'm sipping on red wine and tequila (love a fine tequila). I've been trying to stick to 4 drinks a week, but honestly, I don't think that is a realistic goal for me right now. I think I'm better off going with 6 - 4 for the weekend and 2 weekdays drinks. Much more acheivable, and still means I'm not downing a bottle on Saturday and Sunday ;-)

5/46 days eating well - I just *could not* resist stealing a couple of bites of my daughter's syrup soaked pancake yesterday. She often has pancakes on the weekend, and my green smoothie is not nearly as appetizing. So, next weekend, I'm going to make some overnight oats and top it with some greek yogurt and fruit, so I won't feel as deprived.
