Day 10 of the Diet Bet!!  We are in the double digits now!  

Clam Chowder is my favorite soup, but I have not had it since my honeymoon!  

My husband and I road tripped to Martha’s Vineyard for our honeymoon - we were married on August 1, 2014.  Our second stop on the road trip was Boston. With no plans for dinner, we walked around downtown until we found this amazing bar that was situated on the bay. Without a question, I knew I wanted clam chowder for dinner and a Guinness - after weeks of eating clean to achieve a bridal glow for my wedding day, clam chowder was probably the worst dinner decision ever!  The heavy soup and Guinness hit my stomach like a brick - and the third night of my married life I got sick to my stomach!

After this experience, I have been scared to eat my favorite soup, especially since I've been eating clean lately, but I was craving clam chowder this afternoon - so I've decided to face my fear!  I found this recipe online and made it for dinner tonight. It turned out really well, and was a healthier alternative!  And, no bricks are in my stomach!
