Dietbet is so awesome at keeping me accountable!  I love it!  Just as I would not speed if a cop was right behind me, I will not eat irresponsibly and in a way that's contrary to my goals when dietbet is involved.  So cool!  The last couple of days I have had a couple times where I was getting a little too close for comfort to that "screw it and eat everything in sight" mentality but at the same time I felt confident that I wouldn't do it.  It's like "screw it" is not even an option!  That is such a relief!  I feel the same way about gympact.  I may briefly consider not working out, but guess what?  It's not happening!  At $10 per missed workout, there's no question about that.  I know I should not need to rely on such things to keep me in check, but it's my reality right now.  I'm hoping these tools will turn my efforts into real sustainable habits over time.

I stepped on the scale this morning to see that I was up .2 from when I weighed in a few days ago.  That's ok!  I know I'm putting in the work and that the weight is coming off regardless of what fluctuations the scale is showing.  Gotta keep going!  It's easy to get frustrated when you don't see the scale go down, but it WILL happen if you're on track and eating at a deficit.  The scales goes up for so many reasons that have nothing to do with your actual body fat.  For example: glycogen stores, water, or even waste that hasn't been eliminated yet (yeah, gross.  I know).  These are normal body things.  No reason for frustration (unless it's official weigh in day - then you might be in trouble!).  I want to start watching my fluctuations now that I'm nearing the end of DB#1.  I've been weighing in every few days but I'm going switch to every day just to keep an eye on things.  I'm over my goal weight by .2 and there is NO way I am losing over .2.  LOL!  I will definitely be watching my sodium those last couple days before official weigh in.

Mentally I'm still going strong and feeling good!  I feel like it's for real this time!  I'm taking it allllllllll the way to my ultimate goal.  I've been trying to do this for so long.  I need to just do it!  It's not that hard if I have patience and stick to my plan.
