Happy Friday Diet Bet Nation!  

I pushed play on Core Speed for the first time ever this afternoon and I’m obsessed!  It is my new favorite workout in T25.  Plus, I have one more week left in Alpha!  This is the longest I have gone into the T25 program - an accomplishment I am celebrating!

Since March 2014, I have started and unfinished T25 three times before, and the reason why this time has been so successful is because of three different relationships that are keeping me on track.  The first is my relationship to this Diet Bet - I have never been more driven to reach a goal weight, and these daily blogs have been an amazing daily challenge to organize my thoughts and reflect on how I’m feeling during this journey.  

The second, is my relationship with my coach, Mallory!  I've heard of Shaun T and T25 before, but it wasn't until I saw Mallory's before and after picture on Facebook that made me inspireed to change!  Now, after every T25 workout I finish, I send Mallory a quick Facebook message saying, “Just finished my workout.” A Facebook message seems small, but its everything when keeping me accountable.  

The third, is my relationship with Jawbone UP24! I started wearing this fitness bracelet in May 2014, and my goal of living an active lifestyle instantly became trackable. At first, wearing the bracelet felt like I was wearing a house arrest device because it would send me these notifications such as, “You’re not getting enough sleep” or “Women your age are averaging 8,000 steps a day, so set a goal of 8,000 tomorrow.”  It was pretty frustrating at first, until I realized that the program was pushing me to be better.  September, I had an epiphany: Why aren’t I making sleep and steps a priority? I’m sure if I did, I would feel much better!  Since September, I’ve strived to sleep at least 7 hours every night, and walk 10,000 steps a day. Of course, I don’t reach these goals everyday, but yesterday, Jawbone sent me a notification that I had reached a 14 day streak of hitting 10,000 steps a day!  

The motivation and drive through DietBet, my accountability with my coach, and Jawbone UP24 tracking my lifestyle is a trifecta that is truly helping me live a healthier lifestyle.  I am so grateful for these three things because I really feel that they are helping me change my life for the better.
