20 minutes to write this blog before I need to be in rehearsal?  Sure, no problem, I totally have this under control!  :)

This Friday was the end of a very stressful week for me! My old self would have been filled with nervous energity and anxiety at the end of a week like this!

Today was especially challenging my inner peace becuase my Professor ran class over by 15 minutes, causing me to be late to orchestra rehearsal!  If a musician is late to a rehearsal, they better have been in a car accident becuase being tardy is not tolerated.  Instead of stressing out, I walked into rehearsal late, and 50 people turned to look at me -  I announced confidentally that my class ran over and I was sorry.   A situation I had completely no control over - so I didn't act like it was the end of the world.  Of course I care, and in the future I'll have a better track of the time!

I also had a huge project due today at 5 pm, and for whatever reason could not digitally upload the project to turn it in.  This process of figuring out how to upload the project took 10 minutes too long, and when I finally figured it out, the time was 5 pm, and the program said that my assignment was late.  Instead of stressing out, I told my teacher how I had difficulty uploading the assignment and hoped he understood.

If these two things happened to the old me, it probably would have runined the weekend.  Now that I've changed my lifestyle, I feel that my body and mind are in a much better place.  I feel calmer and more aware that situations happen that I can't control.   All I can control is how I act and respond to them.
