This is my second Diet Bet. I just finished the January game with Chris and Heidi Powell. I'm excited to start the second one regardless of how I felt about the previous game. I won the last game, but because of financial issues, I was disappointed about only winning $11. I mentally had to reassess the fact that I just lost 10lbs in a month! I lost more than 2lbs per week! That's awesome! It really how Bruce put it's - you have a choice on how you think about the world. I have always viewed myself as a pestimist, but I try really hard to not be. I think I naturally tend to be negative, but I have to constantly remind myself to think positively about the world and life. It's not always easy but it's possible, and it is a choice.

I'm excited for this dietbet, but not for the idea of winning big money, because that ended in disappointment. I'm more excited to be held accountable, and to have motivation to push myself and for the social aspect of the game. I'm not usually driven by the social accountability, but this game isn't about accountability, but more the connection to others who are striving for the same goals as you are. I mean we're all different but we all want to lose 4% or more of our weight. I hope that when I graduate in June to have had 6 successful months of weightloss and can say that I'm 30-60 lbs lighter than I started in January. Wouldn't that be great?!
