Hey hey, 

 

Yesterday was great.  NY makes life so crazy, even on weekends I'm always at the gym or running errands or seeing friends - it was so great to get out of town and just do absolutely nothing. I need to do nothing more often! We were pretty well snowed in so it was lovely, I really couldn't do anything but spend time with friends and cook and talk. I was surprised at how little I needed to eat with taking it easy - I'm used to clomping around the city in the snow all day and working up an appetite. I feel so refreshed today, ready to take on the week even though it's Monday and freezing. 

I also discovered matcha green tea yesterday - it was incredible!  I kept hearing about it and assumed it was all hype, but then I tried some and felt fantastic. Very different from green tea, which I also love - I just felt a nice, clear energy and didn't have much of an appetite at all.  Looks like it might actually be worth splurging on!

Lemon water, matcha tea, 2 green teas, dandelion tea, coffee

Bagel (gahh- there was very little food in the house, I was not in charge of grocery shopping)

Homemade chicken/veggie soup

2 tbsp almond butter, apple

Sautéed shiitake mushrooms, piece of bacon, lots of sautéed kale/garlic/onions
