Is it me, or is the more you change your diet - the more your taste buds changes as well? All of a sudden sweet treats are too sweet, added salt is too salty, and processed foods are too plastic like.

I'm looking around at all the easter treats wrapped in plastic, shiny, and full of artificial everything - and they don't interest me.  I sincerely enjoy real food.

And those healthy food sources of dense nutrients I did enjoy before? I never liked almond butter, nuts, coconut water, peppers, brocolli, fish, kefir, or kale before...now they are all staples. Staples I look forward to! :)

I literally stare at my groceries every week like a fashionista that bought prada heels. In awe, and with the deepest sense of happiness.  Complete glee. Satisfaction.

There in all it's glory, is high quality foods that I can afford to buy and can not afford not to buy.  It's a not so guilty pleasure.  I like food.  Grocery shopping is fun.  Trying out new recipes is exciting.  (I might need a hobby... Ha ha)

Most importantly, having meals that not only are healthy but I look forward to is a blessing.  Curbs the desire to swing by the drive through, order big at restaurants, or steal too many cookies at Grandma's. ;)

There's a satisfaction in eating healthy, in being healthy.
