I didn't write yesterday because I forgot until I was in bed and nearly asleep. Because I can't work without a computer, I went out yesterday and got a new one. I had to visit two stores to find what I wanted, then I spent a fair amount of time setting it up. Then there was the usual activity of after school, homework and dinner.

Having a meal plan is going to be key to my success this month. On Sunday, I madeĀ this chicken from Skinnytaste, which is really good, but I think I'm bored with it. Tomorrow I was going to makeĀ orange chicken from the same site. I love Asian food, especially when I find good lightened up recipes, but I think I need a break. So I think I'm going to make another recipe from Skinnytaste, Chicken Cordon Bleu, which I love. This is a skillet version, so it'll be much easier than the traditional, and lower carb. I'm going to make it with steamed carrots and maybe some roast potatoes.

I meant to exercise today, I really did. While I've made some good improvements towards building better eating habits, I really need to begin exercising again. I get so annoyed at myself when I don't work out, because I have never, ever said to myself, "Dammit! I really wish I hadn't exercised!" Making that initial move is the hardest. I had the most success during the fall of the year before last, because I put my sweats on as soon as I got out of bed. Then I put my daughter on the bus, and went for a walk. I walked three to five miles at least four days a week. Then winter came, and I went back to work. Now, I put my kid on the bus and go straight to work. I thought about getting up earlier, but it's still dark early in the morning, and I am also NOT a morning person! I also had success exercising in the evening, but it's been very hard to get back into it.

Last week I ordered a new pair of sneakers which came tonight, so that's good motivation. I'm going to make a plan to do one of my exercise DVDs tomorrow at 7:15.
