Transformers are definitely about the long term. Make small changes in your life that you can sustain. Start with cutting out something like soda or diet soda and replacing it with water. Next move to replacing an unhealthy food with a fruit or vegetable. I added kale in to my diet and that has helped a ton.A half dozen small changes sustained over six months amount to a huge change.
