Good diet day so far. Breakfast: bean smoothie (420 cal.); Lunch: Laughing Cow cheese sandwich and an apple (370 cal.); Snack: 16 oz. kombucha (60 cal.); Dinner: lite tuna salad sandwich and grape tomatoes (410 cal.); Dessert: small mango and 1/2 cup plain yogurt (200 cal.) Total: 1460 calories. Challenge: not eating again after dessert or during the night.

Hooray! I didn't eat when I woke up in the middle of the night. It's a bad habit I've been fighting for years.This morning I looked for some hidden calories - half & half and sugar in my coffee. While I rarely measure the amount of h&h I put in, I decided now's the time to find out. I used 3 tbsp in an average cup which equaled 60 calories. Along with 1 tsp of sugar (16 cal.) my bean smoothie (420 cal.) that brings the breakfast total up to 496 calories. Challenge: limit my morning coffee to one cup.
