Today was the first day of my Dietbet commitment and I was really not looking forward to going to the gym. I've had a gruelling week, and all I really wanted to do was hang out around the house playing videogames and chilling with my boyfriend. I haven't been to the gym in months, so I knew it was going to be gruelling.  I was debating going all the way up until I put my gym shoes on and then I had no choice :P 

I hopped on a 'stride' elliptical-like machine for half an hour and sweated it out to the sound of some heavy 80's inspired synth music.  I managed to get my heart rate up to 155 and 160 for most of my session.   I was feeling pretty warmed and energized at the end, so I decided that instead of bailing out and heading home, I would jump on the treadmill for a bit more cardio.  I always make the mistake of setting the treadmill speed too low at around 3.  However, today I wanted to test myself and so I set it to 3.6! I managed to briskly walk at this speed for a whole half our before my legs started to feel like giant noodles.  I felt pretty proud of myself for working out for an hour today, especially because I really didn't want to.  I came home, had a shower and now I'm heading out to pick up some healthy food for my sweety and me!
