I've been doing pretty good with eating healthier foods recently!  My boyfriend has been really supportive of my decision to eat healthier and exercise more which is wonderful.  The other day he made me avocado toast and egg whites for breakfast, which sounds pretty boring but he added some seasoning to make it taste great!  For the avocado he added a pinch of smoked salt and some garlic powder which tasted like heaven.  He's so sweet, I count my blessings every day that I have a wonderful man like him as my partner :)  I also went out to the local grocer and picked up some healthy snacking food like red and yellow peppers, celery, carrots and cucumber to replace the usual go-to junk foods currently in our "snack cupboard".  We have also eliminated soda from our home, and if we want a carbonated drink we pick up some carbonated water and add some fruit slices.  So far it's going pretty good and I really think I can keep this up ongoing.

I have also been trying to get better at using MyFitnessPal to log and track the foods that I eat to get a better idea of my calorie intake.  Apparently I should only be ingesting around 1200-1300 a day, so it's crucial to use a food tracker to make sure I don't overshoot this target.  I bought a scale that tells me how much body fat I have (too much!!) and also syncs up to MyFitnessPal which is really neat!

This is actually why I'm feeling a bit discouraged about this dietbet.  I hopped on the scale tonight to see how I'm doing, and I'm actually UP from my inital weigh in (189lb) to 192lb right now.  I don't really understand how this could happen, because I've been eating well and also exercising more.  I'm feeling a bit bummed out because I really want to win, but I kind of feel like my body is against me lol.  I'm going to go to the gym after work this week and keep myself between 1200-1300 calories per day.  I'll weigh myself again at the end of the week and hopefully I will see a positive change :)
