This is my frist blog ever, and my plan is to blog everyday during the dietbet because it will make me more accountable to myself and this journey!
Though this is my first blog, it is my second dietbet. A year ago in Spetmember, I "social dieted" for the first time and did not lose the 4%. My $30 was divided amongst the winners! My excuses were that 4% is a deceptively difficult amount of weight to lose, and 4 weeks is a deceptively small amount of time. The truth was that I did not work as hard as I needed to.
However, losing 4% of body weight in 4 weeks is acheievable if I maintain my focuss and realize that losing is not an option. Simmilar to how skipping on my T25 workout is no longer an option. Skipping my workout, or eating something that I am craving would be the easiest thing to do, but I am no longer interested in what is easiest. I am interested in change and accomplishing my goals!
I am 6 feet tall and I weighed in 179.5 yesterday morning. By the end of this dietbet, I need to weigh 172.3! A weight I have not been since I was in high school.
The month of September 2014, I was extremely motivated to get back into shape. I was religiously doing T25 and walking 10,000 steps a day, but my weight plateaued at 174. Instead of pushing harder and eating cleaner, I gave up and was defeated. (It was the easier thing to do) I stopped working out, and I started to eat and drink whatever I wanted again.
How is this time any different from the other times I've restarted my jorney to being healthy and losing weight? It is my mind change and attitude. I am determined to not lose this time, I am determined to eat healthier and exercise! I am determined to get my money back! :)
I have not weighed 172.3 since I was in high school, but I am going to be weighing 172.3 by February 1!
