Hello Diet Bet Nation! I hope you all are doing well, and having an amazing Wednesday!
This past STATurday, I weighed in at 173 - I lost 4.5 pounds in 1 week and was ecstatic to be 1 pound away from my Diet Bet goal! Feeling extra motivated to lose this tiny little pound, I continued to eat extra healthy and exercise - stepped on the scale this morning and I had gained 2.5 pounds!
Of course, I was a little disapointed this morning. I had hoped to hit my Diet Bet Goal this week! But after some reflection, I've realized that losing 4.5 pounds was alot to lose in one week, and maybe gaining some of the weight back is my body balancing itself out. But, I'm not an expert, and I have no clue what is going on physiologically with my body - but I do know that I've exercised and continued to eat healthy, and these 2.5 pounds is nothing in the grand scheme of this Diet Bet when there is still 12 days left until the final weigh in.
I am able to control my life style of exercsing and eating healthy, but I am unable to control the number on the scale.
However, I can control the color of my toe nails! :) I'm going to give myself a pedicure tonight, and for my next weigh in, when I look down at the scale, at least my toes will be fabulous no matter what the scale says.
