Hi Bonnie, there is a lot of sodium in diet sodas, roughly up to 50 mg per can, it can add up quickly; plus the added sugars. One thing about soda I learned from my neighbor, the doctor who happens to be a runner is that, carbonated sodas stop the oxygenation of new red blood cells. The moment he told me that I quit drinking soda.
