Here is my confession: I like Coke.

There, I said it.

I want it to be ok....but it's not.  It's not the sugar (although that is nice).  It's not the caffeine (that's nice, too).

IT'S THE BUBBLES!!

Water just doesn't bubble.  It doesn't feel like a party on my tongue.  It's just, well, water.

But water is SOOOO good for us!  I'm learning to love water, but on the days when I just don't feel it; this is my go to drink.  So, if you need a little twist to help you up your water consumption, check this out!

Enter, Good Girl Moonshine.  Now, I don't do alcohol, never have…so the name of this drink threw me at first.  After giving it a try though, it’s definitely a keeper!  This drink comes from Trim Healthy Mama.

Here is their original recipe.

Good Girl Moon Shine

(Insert frustration here.  Cute graphic won’t format for this blog!  UGH!)

I gotta tell you though I have my own zing!  I'm not using it in the way that Trim Healthy Mama suggests.  I’m just using it to trick my tongue.  So here is the Sarah Version:

Ingredients:
1T apple cider vinegar
½ to 1t ground ginger
1 packet of stevia
1 lime
sparkling water
ice

Directions
In a quart jar combine ACV, ginger, and stevia.  Cut lime in half. Squeeze lime juice into jar and then toss in the fruit.  Add ice up the top and pour in sparkling water.  Stir.

I like this drink because it tastes a lot like Sprite and it actually has some pretty neat health benefits in addition to the water.  You will have to play around with your measurements to fit your taste, but it is definitely a fun drink.  My children call it Spicy Water!!

According to WebMD (and lots of others), ginger is an anti-inflammatory.  It is great for the gut and various stomach issues.  A very good friend of mine was having awful morning sickness and this little ditty helped her a ton!  Apple cider vinegar is believed to help with weightloss, but more importantly is great for helping with diabetes and blood sugar issues. (Of course you need to do your own research here…just sayin’.)

So there you have it!  Moonshine and weight loss!  Enjoy!

Blessings,

Sarah
