My ultimate goal is to lose 140lbs! That's a big number! That's about half my body size. It's overwhelming but it's been put off for way to long. No more procrastinating. I refuse to live another decade not embracing this short life I get to live with my loved ones. I'm committed to seeing this through to the end. How does one get going to such a lofty goal. The same way someone eats an elephant. Really? Who eats elephants, anyway? Either way it would be one bite at a time. One day at a time. One workout at a time. One healthy meal at a time. One support call at a time. One connection with healthy people at a time. One healthy thought, belief and action at a time! Over time all of these will take me closer to my goal. I don't want to lose sight of the finish line so I will break up my mile markers. My quarter marker is 34lbs. I am almost there! Only two pounds to go to hit that mark! That will happen this week! I should celebrate. I won't celebrate with food. Remember I'm building new habits. The old ones have to go. They got me to this place. Bye Felicia! Repeat, repeat, stay consistent, don't give up or quit! Almost a quarter through then I can look for the half way mark. Only 106 more pounds to go. Yes , it's a long journey but I'm making the best of it. I'm bumping into some awesome runners on theirs. They're cheering me on( how sweet) and I'm cheering for them. It's not a competition. We genuinely want each other to win. I will be living proof for someone else. I'm a success story in the making. The race isn't over. It just started!
