I have lost 91 lbs. I was obese growing up, the fattest person in my school classes. The nurses weighed us in front of the entire class, so kids called out unkind names about me and my weight. It went on into my early adult years and it took me several attempts before I was able to stay on the journey for fitness I am on now. Once I learned how to do it the right way I went to work in a gym to help others. Folks would come into the gym and drop recently acquired fat like it was nothing (not to make little of their accomplishment by any means), but those who had carried their extra weight for a while were more frustrated by it as it was not so easy for them. The longer you have had the extra pounds the more difficult it is for you to lose them. I am not saying this as a negative and a reason to give up but instead as a reason to help others understand. It is a process and much different for some of us than others. If you have a big weight loss goal, just set realistic expectations along the way and give yourself praise when you reach them. Be Proud of Yourself and Your Progress and Never Give Up! It is about Feeling Good and it will be worth every calorie you pass by. I promise you, nothing ever tasted as good as being fit feels!
