Don't give up! February has been rough on a lot of us. Not to sound all "stalker-chick", but you are one of the people who's posts I look forward to reading. :) You have a great sense of humor.

My knee is doing lots better, thanks. I haven't run on it since, or much of anything else, actually, but it feels normal again. I've biked twice recently and it's not bugging me afterward. Next time I drag myself to the gym I may hit the elliptical and see how that feels, then try and ease back into the running. Running outside is what I like best. :-)

Did you fall off your Treadmill desk???

Don't be discouraged! I know it's hard i spent years trying to figure out how to lose - i topped out at 242 which was alot on my frame. Finally I found low carb way of eating and i feel so much better, my cravings are under control and my blood sugar swings (that i didn't even know I was having!) are under control. My energy is up, my appetite is so low. I know your profile says you don't follow a plan but if you haven't given it a go, think about it. :) It really changed my life so I wanted to share. I learned alot reading www.ruled.me and www.dietdoctor.com and tailoring it to how i live (for instance i am not totally grain free - i found low carb bread. I'm not against eating sugar free candy here and there etc.)Just wanted to suggest this since it changed my life and you seem so down :) PS i'm also a runner, and running on my fat stores instead of consumed carbs is awesome :))Jacquie

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Jacquie! It means a lot. My issue is probably similar - it's like I'm fine as long as I keep everything low-key, but as soon as I step out of line and have some chocolate or cookies or pretzels or some other high-sugar or high-carb treat, I just go bananas and can't stop the cravings until I use every bit of willpower to lock it down for a few days, and then the cravings go away. It makes me feel like a crazy person. I'll definitely check out those links for some ideas, but I have trouble "doing" a diet. I'm not a joiner. :-)

Definitely sounds like me! lol it's a roller coaster. but i'm not on a diet anymore. i just eat this way for the rest of my life. i feel to good to change. and when i do have slip ups, my hearburn, tummy troubles, drowsiness, mental fog, laziness! and huge appetite come back! lol so i plan to stay eating this way the rest of my life, not just to lose weight. :)
