How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Hey all! Since I don’t have enough to lose to join another game I’m just going to share here lol! I just did my first membership weigh in without being in a game and I’m down a few more pounds and for the first time in over 20 years in my 130’s!!!! Happy dance. I can say that I would NOT be at this weight without the motivation I got from DietBet!! Hope you’re all continuing your journey!

Did my first weigh-in as a member only and in no games. I was about two pounds heavier than the goal weight. Considering I was in Park City eating snacks and staying up late with Family Fri to Sun, I consider that a win.

6th day of eating bad, after the transformer.
Weighted today 😣;disappointed.
I will join a kickstarter soon. Dietbet keeps me accountable. I thought of doing a clean bulk after my the transformer. However, I am already bulked up with bad food. 😜
Time to get back again, starting tomorrow!!!

Great idea to do another DietBet! I think this happens to quite a few people, do well and then take a couple days off. You've got this!

JenniferJean

I did great for 2 days then back to not great. Ugh. Got to stick to it

I am proud of myself...I have only gained 2 pounds since the transformer ended! I know it is still a gain, but I keep thinking I have nothing pulling me back in this time so I am making healthier choices! Also in a runbet! Keeps me active

Gotta admit - pretty disappointed. 6 months of hard work for $7.44 win. I realize that I didn't win any of the other rounds, but the end result should be the biggest payout. There was $976k in the pot and less than 50% of the participants met the goal! 2818 * $7.44 is only ~$21k. Glad I got the weight off, but $7??

I'm happy you got all that weight off too!
To be fair, your original comment didn't sound like you were thrilled. In fact, it didn't sound that way at all. You mentioned it only as an afterthought at the end, and even closed with a "but".
---
Whatever, I wish you success in the future and hope you get to your goal weight.

Hello Barbara - don't take any of the responses personally, remember that online chatter con at times be very unemotional and very cold. With a $7 net win for the entire game, that would mean that you paid $125 up front with $12.50 going to rounds 1-5 and $67.50 going to round 6. If you look at the net winnings from round 6 alone, you won $132.44 on a $67.50 bet. When looking at the math on the pot....$497625 pot minus 25% (admin fees) leaves $373218.75. That amount divided up among 2818 winners is $132.44 with a net profit on that round alone of $64.94. I posted previously a breakdown of the gross and net profits pasted below.

********************************************
The round 6 payout was $132.44 with a bet of $62.50 for round 6 only (assuming the bet was placed as a lump sum and not a month by month payment). Remember that half of your entire bet went into round 6. Rounds 1-5 had a bet of $12.50. With monthly gross winnings of $12.79, $19.75, $25.82, $25.72, $25.33 and $132.44 respectively - the amount of net winnings per month would be $0.29 , $7.25, $13.32, $13.22, $12.83, and $69.94 respectively. The reason it only shows a $7 net win is because of the $125 pay in for all 6 rounds and the only payout was for round 6.
********************************************

Congrats on winning and you loss of 10% of your weight!

  • Are there any other transformers coming up? I don't know if I'll be able to lose enough for a kickstart. I did well for this one. I've stalled the last 2 months so I'm not sure. Last year I did a few transformers and stopped around this time and gained it back by January. My first/last weigh in for this game.

  • This was my last DietBet. I am thankful DB got me started on this journey and it did provide a lot of motivation along the way.
I find my body doesn't always cooperate (hormone issues, etc.) The extreme stress it creates trying to make the weigh-ins is just as unhealthy as the weight I am trying to lose. So it is time to find my motivation elsewhere.
So here is my first and last DietBet weigh-ins, side by side.
Thank you all for coming alongside in this leg of my journey, and bless you all on your continued trek towards better health.
