A healthy choice becomes a lifestyle change! I "was" a natural athlete and I am still built like one! However since I finished school my active lifestyle has been hindered with 9-5 job and it shows. I can't wait to be thin, lean, and toned again!

What's the 17 day diet??

Kathryn M.

The 17-day diet is a cycle diet. It consists of 3 cycles that promote weight loss and the 4th cycle is a maintenance cycle which will show you how you can eat your favorite foods and not gain weight back. I have had tremendous luck with it. Even though I am on the 4th day of the 1st 17 day cycle, I'm down over 3 lbs. I don't feel hungry all the time because you can eat unlimited veggies and white meat (chicken, turkey, tuna). I can definitely say I have worked harder on other diets and I still wasn't seeing these results. My boyfriend is still getting used to it, he is grumpy haha. As for working out, they tell you not to run a marathon in the first 2 cycles because it is a toxic cleanse and slowly reintroducing favorite foods again. As long as you do some kind of movement, its great but not necessary. Read about it, google it and see if it is right for you :) Everyone is different!

Ha, what I wrote before reading the whole comment: "I have the book, but haven't had time to read it yet. I probably will wait until I plateau and need to change it up, though." Now that I'm reading it... it sounds like what you're eating is what I'm doing, anyway. Unlimited fruits/veggies (but much lighter on the fruit), chicken, and seafood is what I'm doing. With only water to drink.

My hubby has tried the 17 day diet a few times but he is grumpy when he can't eat lol! Plus he likes to work out and you can't do much on that program. Good luck and I hope you get amazing results!

Hahaha ya my boyfriend is having the same issue. He is willing to stick it out! Since we aren't much of gym buffs its okay that we cant work out for very long. We were on a plan before where we were working out every day and I wasn't seeing the results like I am now. Once we enter the 3rd cycle, that is when we will be toning and going to the gym more. This cleanse of the 1st cycle is amazing.

I wish I could do it but I swear everytime he does it, all I crave is carbs that he cant have lol!

GREAT JOB on cutting out the salad dressing... those calories can really ADD up! when I really want dressing, I find low sugar, lower fat...and I dip my folk and then stab my salad. I consume so much LESS that way! Every little bit helps, right?!!!
