  • Question time: what diet do you follow? Even it's not an exact diet what changes have you made to your eating habits?

    I count calories, and try to make those calories count. Lots of whole foods, fruits and veggies, etc. My calorie goal changes a lot. I havnt really found what works best yet but it's normally around 1500 per day.

Carb cycling works great for me. I do most low carb days and when I feel like it a high carb day. Dinner always low carb (most of the time...). Lots of water. I walk 7 km every day. Picking up cardio/ strength training in addition.
My trick is to plan ahead, have low carb snacks like protein bars with me always and prepare a nice breakfast. No fuss waking up!
Weight loss is going steady but slowly - being a winner if this transformer means an all time low weight (under 80 kg) so that's my FOCUS. #whoopwhoop

Ok so I'm lucky I found Anna Victoria's app in the middle of January. I was under eating and the scale wasn't going anywhere. The app is only for ladies but please go check it out. I am learning a lot about macros ❤ also follow me on my journey. I changed my Instagram to finding.amanda.fbg (because FBG Is Anna's community) 😍 the support is amazing. I’m so so so so so proud of all of you who are hitting your round 1 goals already!

It’s also so heartbreaking for those of us who aren’t. Those of us who aren’t even close. Sigh. I’m not giving up. I’m not quitting. I’m hanging in. And I’m pushing. There’s still time!

Have any of you tried a whole 30? Are you considering one? I say go for it! I’m doing one now and have lost over 5 lbs and met my January goal already and halfway through my February goal. It’s a tough commitment at first but over time it gets easy and I even enjoy it. Even with a newborn baby and waking up 2-3 times a night, I have lots of energy and get by on one cup of coffee. My husband works 45-50 hours a week and I’m on my own with the baby and a preschooler and still have lots of energy and feel super positive. Give whole 30 a try!
