Really loving the support, healthy ideas, and similar methodologies of the posters in this group! I posted this morning in my transformer bet which has weigh-in today and tomorrow for month 1. I shared that I had been under my goal weight a few days ago but now am .4lbs over (knowing that it was because of a really hard workout yesterday and that I'm currently retaining some water) and that I was just going to cross my fingers, keep drinking lots of water, and keep diet on-point today. Someone replied that I need to stop drinking so much water and get a sweaty workout in today. Sure, you might hit a weigh-in goal by purposefully sweating out the water in your body, but that's such a bad long-term health outlook! #DehydrationIsNotRealWeightloss #MyBodyNEEDSWaterToLose #WaitingForWhoosh

Yes, Dave! I workout for enjoyment, and keeping my body healthy and feeling young. When I ate a SAD, workouts just made me more hungry and it was harder to eat well, actually. On keto, my hunger, cravings, and energy are totally consistent!

Way to go. Keep drinking that water your body needs it. You’re doing the right thing. A lot of people think drinking an excess of water will make them bloat and retain but it’s actually the opposite. Way to kick butt :raised_hands:

Stuck since started game. Frustrating but keep pushing on. Maybe gaining muscle, losing fat. Clothes fitting better. Not stopping my weight lifting.

Clothes fitting better is definitely a great sign. If you are doing a lot of weight lifting there is a good chance you are gaining muscle and your body is probably retaining water in your muscles for recovery and repair too so that can cause the scale to be a jerk lol

  • Dinner: started with thinly sliced radishes (they sub for potatoes) and added red onion, next added some buttered and salted raw broccoli and about 3 oz. cooked brisket for a one pot meal. Of course I just shipped so I had to get some extra veggies in the way of a super simple salad with ranch.

Understand this. I drank over 100oz of water yesterday, burned 2600 (according to my Apple Watch) I did a 30 minute workout video plus walked on the treadmill for an hour and I ate roughly 1100 calories and my scale says I gained a pound from yesterday to this morning? How does that make sense?

I'm no expert but it looks like your not consuming enough calories. Sounds crazy, but that's what has happened to me. Also, I try to juat weigh myself once a week otherwise I get really frustrated!

SORRY men of this DietBet but we gotta talk menstruation. Besides retaining water weight between 3 to 7 pounds and bloat from hell, I gotta mention cravings. I struggle so much during these times because I give myself excuses since I'm already up in weight. I also get so dang emotional. I know I cannot possibly be the only one out there struggling to keep away from sweets and chips. Any suggestions to curb cravings and emotional eating ?? I guess it is better to be up in bloat weight now than on weight-in day. Right? Gotta look at the bright sight of things. :)

Agreed with comments. Also look “choczero keto bark” on Amazon. It is AMaZING and only 2 net carbs for each “candy bar!!!!” It has helped me get through cravings lol
