Non-scale victory of the week!

I have been doing HARD physical labor for camp and DPW for a week, and I’ve been able to keep up!! I couldn’t care less that my weight has gone up.. it’s in muscle and hydration and sodium, all of which my body needs for this work.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Skipped the beer.

I avoided chocolate and ice cream while PMSing!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I slacked SO HARD on cardio!! I really have no excuse and need to get back to it. I feel gross! But! I still pulled off all my goals these past six months, and I’m excited to have only gained 4 lbs while taking a break from obsessively tracking everything!

I didn’t drink anything but iced tea at every birthday celebration!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I ate a LOT of jalapeños without tracking them, and then started slipping on my tracking entirely. Thankfully the scale is kind, but I feel pretty gross today. Going to refocus!

Ease back into weight training, keeping mindful of my mild shoulder injury. I’m taking it as a sign that I need to slow down. There’s no hurry!

Non-scale victory of the week!

Well tbh I wasn’t craving chocolate and salty snacks because shark week is OVER! What a ride, lol. I have felt in control since it ended, but I am most proud of not beating myself up for having period symptoms. Listening to my body has been my major NSV.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Eaten more variety? I’m struggling here, I am proud of my diligence!

Keep up the same momentum! Increase intensity on leg day and find a good pair of running shoes to enhance my cardio routine! Walking isn’t cutting it anymore.

Resisted some sweets when I was PMSing.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I could say that the major victory was going out to sushi and not overeating or drinking sake (1000cal/bottle!!!), but the real victory was in building up my fitness routine to include daily cardio again!! I ate for fuel, controlled for my macros, upped my water intake to a gallon/day, and have felt like a million bucks alllllll week!!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Sleep. The boys had me up an hour earlier every day, and I feel so sensitive to it. I need to go to bed an hour earlier to compensate, or allow myself naps in the afternoon.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I went to a festival and didn’t overeat! I chose the healthiest options (chicken wraps with mustard instead of cream sauce), and drank my weight in water! Four days of sticking to it!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I had meant to continue my workout regimen at the festival, but instead focused on my diet. It was hot, and food was expensive, so I felt totally justified in taking a break from strength training for a couple days. In the future, though, I could bring protein rich snacks, and wake up early to exercise before the sun takes over.

It’s the first week of summer, so the kids will be home during the week, which will add a bit of challenge to my routine. My intention is to maintain my physical and spiritual practices throughout the implementation of their new routines.
