What’s your motivation for doing this? When things get tough for me and I don’t feel like keeping up my healthy habits, I remind myself why I’m doing what I’m doing. My big three are 1) My health (diabetes runs in my family), 2) keeping up with my son, and 3) gaining confidence in my body. What pushes you?

My health and because I deserve it. In 21 I had a traumatic accident where I lost my leg, prior to that I was very active and healthier over all, so I’m trying to get back to that.

  • Happy Wednesday!

As we move through the middle of the week, this is a great time to remind ourselves that progress doesn’t come from doing everything perfectly. It comes from showing up consistently. One missed workout or off-plan meal doesn’t undo your efforts. What matters most is what you do next.

Midweek tip: Focus on keeping your routine simple. Aim for regular meals, plenty of water, and some form of movement, even if it’s short or low-energy. These basics create momentum and help prevent the all-or-nothing mindset that can sneak in during busy weeks.

💚 Quick check-in: What’s one small thing you’ve done consistently so far this week? Let’s celebrate those wins!

  • Happy Monday!

Before we jump into a new week, let’s take a quick moment to check in about the weekend. How did it go for you? Whether you stayed right on track, enjoyed some flexibility, or felt a little off your routine. It’s all information, not judgment. Weekends are part of real life, and every experience gives us insight we can use moving forward. 💚

This week’s theme: Consistency Over Perfection.
You don’t need to make up for the weekend or “do better” than last week. You just need to keep going. Focus on simple, repeatable habits: regular meals, hydration, movement that feels good, and a mindset rooted in progress. Showing up consistently is what creates change, not doing everything perfectly.

Check-in question: We are halfway through the game! How are you feeling? Share below and let’s start this week strong, together. 💪

Natalie, sounds like you held steady even though you snacked a bit. I know that feeling of breaking a promise to myself. It does throw you off a bit, but it can also strengthen our resolve for the next time we are tempted. We can do this!

DietBet Laura

Michelle, I'm happy to hear the theme resonates with you and that you are feeling good with more energy! That's the goal! This theme is one that has helped me over the years in a lot of ways. I tend to be a perfectionist, so telling myself it's okay to not be perfect, but to keep at it (whatever it may be) keeps me moving forward.

I introduced my daughter to Billy Blanks and Tae-Bo tonight (my childhood!), after we had already done a 10 min. kid's dance workout. I didn't think she'd want to do much but she kicked major butt and kept at it for the whole 25 min. video. I was so proud of her, while also feeling the burn myself. ? It was awesome!!!

I love rotating old workouts with my newer ones. The variety keeps things fresh

I used to LOVE Tae Bo! I remember my boyfriend’s mother complaining that it was hard on her knees. Now that I’m a 40 something year old I can see what she meant!

Anyone else nervous that the scale isn't really moving yet. Logically I know it takes a bit as body adjusts to more activity and changes in eating but emotionally I'm side eyeing the scale.

I dropped quickly and now is a struggle ! But I know it will move . Just keep at it . Add more water . Make little changes to your diet . Do you log your food ? I do and that helps a lot

I always have to remind myself that weight loss isn’t linear, as much as I would like it to be predictable and linear lol

  • Happy Wednesday!

One simple but powerful weight-loss tip to focus on this week is building meals around protein and fiber. These two nutrients help keep you fuller for longer, stabilize your energy, and reduce mindless snacking, especially during busy days and colder months.

Think lean proteins (eggs, chicken, fish, tofu, Greek yogurt) paired with fiber-rich foods like veggies, fruit, beans, or whole grains. You don’t have to overhaul everything. Even small swaps or additions can make a big difference. Remember, sustainable habits are built one choice at a time. 🌱

✨ Quick check-in: What’s one protein or fiber-rich food you enjoy and can add more of this week?

Just picked up some steamed lentils from Trader Joe’s. Love these because they have 10 g of protein and 6 g of fiber per half cup serving.

Lentils are my favorite! Not having to cook them makes them even better! Great resource tip, Natalie! Thank you!

  • I’ve lost around 80 pounds since April 2024.
It’s been a different journey for me.
Found out November 2024 that I have Alpha Gal Syndrome (from Lone Star Tick bite)
Allergic to all mammals, dairy, xanthan gum carrageenan.
So I eat birds, fish, fruits and vegetables.
I bake my own snacks because sugar is whitened with bone char so I have to use organic or vegan sugar. Plus so much more.
It’s been a challenge but I’m figuring it out.

**Picture is me at my largest 225.4 April 2024
    August 2025 was 159
    Now 147.6

Goal is to get down to 135-139 so I’m almost there but it’s getting harder to lose. So my new years goals are:
    1. Gym 2 times a week.
    2. Pickleball 2 times a week.
    3. Learn Spanish
    4. Read entire bible this year.
    5. Don’t sweat the small things, be happy.

    I can do this!!!
    Good luck to everyone.

Wow, great progress! Good luck!! If you ever have any Spanish questions, I’m happy to help. I tutor highschoolers in Spanish for fun.

Thank you all and Natalie21 I’m dating a man now that speaks Spanish (reason why I want to learn). Gracias por ofrecerte.
