  • Remember that while yes, the goal of this game is about losing that 4%.... I want you to have other goals as well. Goals that don’t involve the number. Goals that make you feel PROUD, confident, strong. Things that are going to set you up for long term success

    If you’re thinking this is a 4 week challenge and then it’s “over” you have the wrong mindset. This journey is never over. Built new habits that can help you sustain this weight forever. Have a treat here and there to build that healthy relationship and balance with food. Do we wanna lose the weight or lose the weight AND keep it off.

    THE SCALE WILL FLUCTUATE. It’s your body just being NORMAL. This is why it’s so important to not put all of your mental state into the number. Which I know in a game like this can be hard.

    Focusing on how you feel, on all the NON scale things your accomplishing/doing for your HEALTH, the new habits your forming, etc is so important. Do you want to do this just for a number? Or to FEEL GOOD. To feel confident and happy!

    If we fixate and quit over every little fluctuation we will NEVER get to where we want to be. Over the course of my journey I have fluctuated like CRAZY. But I am where I am because I didn’t let that dictate my success. I knew I was fueling my body, taking care of my body, so even if the scale didn’t always reflect that, I kept pushing.

    KEEP GOING. Even if in this 4 weeks you don’t hit the goal you we’re hoping. What have you been doing for your health and life? BE PROUD OF THAT

I have started looking at my weekly average weight rather than stressing about day to day progress. My Fitbit app show it that way and it’s helpful.

Sometimes, I think it’s better to not step on the scale every day. Monday’s would be a good day, it keeps you in line over the weekend. Weekends can be a challenge. This creates a win win with you habits.

  • Today was a good day, and it had nothing to do with what I ate or what workout I completed. 12 days ago, my best friend had her first baby. Due to outside circumstances I hadn’t gotten to meet him yet, but today that changed. Today I got to sit with my friend and her husband and hold there sweet baby for a few hours. It felt so good just to sit, talk and enjoy this sweet baby for a while.

    Starting week 2 of the DietBet! How are we feeling? Even if week 1 didn’t go the way you were hoping, every single day is another day to do this. To do what you’ve been telling yourself you’re to do

    If not NOW then WHEN?! Get your meals set, move your body (even if it’s a 20 min walk), and STOP making excuses. The only thing standing in your way is yourself. Stop expecting perfection and just START. If you think you did something to “mess up” you didn’t. Excuse. Just KEEP GOING

My goal this week has been to keep my water intake up. I do really good when I always have a cup in my hand... last week I did 140 oz a day , just to keep me fuller and I kept busy. So this week, I am trying to keep up the 140 oz and add more walks.. it's getting warmer and the sun is shining, so an extra dose of sunshine is coming my way!! Good luck all with this weeks goals!!

One week in, and I’m down .6lbs. Not quite the results I hoped for this week, but that’s okay because I feel so much better and know I’ve made great choices. I’ve tracked everything I’ve eaten, made healthy choices, gotten my blue dot 6/7 days on WW, gotten more sleep, drank between 160oz and 200oz of water a day, and dry January has been a success so far. I’ll continue with the same healthy habits this week. In addition, I’m going to try and work more exercise into my routine. Hope everyone has a great week!
