  • 1.5 lbs left for me. So close. I know it’s doable, but I also know I have to really stick to it even though my schedule is going to be completely off this coming week. This new puppy is killing my sleep patterns too.

I’m only 30% to my goal, but it still feels so good to see weight loss of any amount when I’m trying so hard to have a calorie deficit. Not hitting it everyday, so there’s room for improvement. The current weight loss just inspires me to keep trying.

Love these comments! Meal prep is something I need to work on myself. I found a cute "snackle box" over the weekend. I'm thinking of using it to prep some fruits and veggies ahead of time so I can easily grab one when I feel like snacking :)

Oh, my goodness. I'm head over heels for "snackle boxes"! I've got 3, so I can rotate usage as well as have healthy, tasty, 'grab and go' snacks.

  • making the best of my mornings with 2 kids who get up at weird times and i’m just waiting for my wild toddler. instead of hating the baby getting me at 4 or 5 am, I made breakfast for me, and for my husband when he wakes up. hoping it starts us on the right foot instead of the absolute chaos when everyone is up and running in circles.

  • I’ve made a good start to the dietbet this week, but I am sure hoping to have lots of kids come by to take all this chocolate and candy off my hands tonight. I’m trying my best to keep my consumption moderate, but this is feeling like my kryptonite.

I hope all the kiddos came and got the candy! If not, I know that my local library, church and dentist all take post Halloween candy. Try that. It’s such a kryptonite for me that I HAVE to get it out of my sight or I sabotage myself.

When making meals, use smaller plates and watch portion sizes. Eat slow, and appreciate the flavors and textures of your meals.

It definitely takes effort and willpower. I find it's hardest in the beginning because you're breaking a habit, but it does get easier! Try brushing your teeth after a meal so you won't want to keep snacking. Find distractions to keep yourself busy - read, journal, go for a walk, or learn a new hobby to keep your hands and mind busy :)
