Hey guys.
Sooo I’ve participated in multiple stepbet challenges and completed every one of them but still haven’t lost any weight.
This time around i decided to try dietbet and I will be focusing on my calorie deficit, water intake, and weight lifting with some light walking on the side. Hopefully this helps!

Happy Easter!

Confession time:

I ate until I was full.
Then I continued until I finished my plate and became uncomfortably full.
Then I took just a little more of my favorite foods.
Then I took a little more.

And now, over 2.5 hours since my last bite, I am STILL painfully full.

Facing the scale tomorrow will not be pretty. I’m finding myself exceedingly grateful that I went into this weekend over 10 lbs below goal so that I had a little buffer against the inevitable (but temporary) holiday gain.

Ashley, me too - I’ve been gobbling like my old self. Gained 7 pounds in 5 days. I actually think I’m sick from too much sugar. I made a trip to store tonight to get Alka-Seltzer. I’ve been in Diet-Bets since last fall. Mostly bouncing back-n-forth JUST PAST few months. I had a buffer too but used much of it up the last few days. NOW I MUST GET SERIOUS n tackle the next 20 pounds.

Found out today that I’m only 1.8lbs from my goal. Kind of crazy to think about it. I’m really proud. My birthday is this week and I think I’m going to give myself the gift of no stress. I’m calling it here. So enjoy my money everyone! I paid six months ago so it’s not even real anymore, I guess 😅. You’ve all done so amazing, and just remember that keeping on the journey to health is the goal. Hopefully you’ve lost some weight on the way like I have. Have a great week and a successful weekend 💛💛. I’m going to look at kickstarters that are coming up soon to kick my ass into gear. Good luck to all the contenders!! That’s very sweet! I wouldn’t call it “giving up” so much as a gift to myself to feel like I’ve already won for my birthday. My birthday is 4/4 and I plan on celebrating this weekend. I don’t need the money and I’m not really competitive. Sure, if I wake up anytime on 4/5 and am under goal, I’ll weigh in. I just don’t want my bday weekend to be hindered for a mere 1-2lbs. I already feel like a winner since I’m 20lbs down in 6 months. That’s an amazing accomplishment! I’ll pick it up after my bday, most likely with a new inspiring challenge. Thank you again!

  • I am an emotional eater and I look at what I have gone through in the past six months and I can't believe that I am going to make my goal weight.... 20 down for the bet and 35 overall. We had Covid in November which knocked me out for two weeks and my husband for a month, the fridge died a week into Covid and we went three weeks without a fridge because we couldn't have the fridge delivered while we were quarantined, Thanksgiving, Christmas, surgery three weeks ago, my son fractured his back about three weeks ago and now Easter coming up. I don't pretend that I have this all figured out, and I would love to lose 25 more but it feels great to be where I am at right now.

My son is OK. No spinal cord damage. But a long recovery. 3 months was the initial prognosis. Now may be 6 months to a year.

Be very patient w/ spine recovery (I broke base of spine in 1986). Measure progress w/ a long stick. Look for improvement from last month, last summer or a year ago. And score ”little” advances. Being able to reach a clothes hanger in the closet is an accomplishment to celebrate. I have a handicapped plate on my vehicle (didn’t walk for 2 years, off work for 8) and almost every day, am proud to walk in from far end of parking lot.

First covid vaccine shot coming this morn, gonna try to get workout in now beforehand. Worried re reaction or throwing me off workout, eating, etc. Anyone who got their first shot recently have advice?

1st dose of Pfizer my arm was more sore than other shots in the past (but nothing that changed my habits/routine). 2nd dose I didn't have any major symptoms, maybe a little loss of energy, but still went through my day like normal. Good luck!

Remembered progress weigh in after dinner. Weight is a little higher than morning weigh-in. Having a hard time remembering these now that I’m only doing 1 game. I e been on a plateau forever. I don’t want to start another game until I am actually losing weight again. I’m under my goal by a tiny bit so don’t want to rock the boat.

Sally, I have been bouncing btween 165-169 for almost two months. I came down from 200 last fall. My grandson’s wedding next weekend so WILL hit-er again after that. YES, WE CAN shed another 20-30 pounds, already did it once! I’ve got to stay away from ice-cream and/or chocolate or tea w/ a cookie (or three). I’ve been “rewarding”myself but when I see scale creep up, I cut back. We CAN do this.

Proud of today's bike excursion, my furthest by some distance. 55km and 1200kcals. I earned my post ride cupcake. 😁. In reality dietbet isn't just about losing weight. It's about pushing ourselves in many other healthy areas, be it strength, fitness, flexibility and importantly, wellbeing. Even if my weight does start to creep back up I know exactly what I need to do with my body to get back on track. Most importantly of all, I get to eat cupcakes and other such delights pretty regularly, but I earn them with sweat first.
