Reason #3: the great outdoors

I love the outdoors.  I used to do quite a lot of hiking, camping, mountain climbing, canoeing, snow... Read More ›

You can do it, Mary! I was just in Estes Park, Colorado where we have a condo and I came back losing 3 lbs.! I know what you mean, though, being fit to enjoy the whole thing makes it effortless, while carrying a few extra pounds makes it more of a chore. You'll get there! Keep it up!

You can do it Mary! I saw your comment on my post. Keep up the good work - joining this diet bet should be just the thing you needed to get things under way!

Hahaha - mmmm, cheese..., that cracked me up.
I'm much older than you are, and I used to feel the same way - but I don't any more. I look back at family photos and wonder if I was even there!
I love to see my friends in their photos, when they themselves think they don't look perfect, I think they look just fine. Get in your photos no matter where you are in the journey! Your friends and your kids will thank you someday - and you may even thank yourself! :-)

I totally get the picture dilemma! I used to put myself down, and every time I gained I wished I could look like I did in the previous picture! I actually stopped taking photos and now looking back wish I didn't avoid them. :-( I missed out on a lot of opportunities to capture a nice event.

Your blog reminded me about the way I feel about photos. I also want to not be nervous or hate photos of myself anymore! Your blog helped me pull through a craving of Halloween Candy by reminding. We can do this! just one choice at a time.
