2nd POST: Continued part 1..
it is not a run until your stride becomes longer than it would take to have both legs straight and lengthened and on the ground at the same time. Once your body is forced to "jump" "canter" "jog" (pick up the back foot at a faster rate in order to propel the body moving at the pace it is) it becomes a jog. the faster the body goes it becomes a run. I don't think there is a set number. But, I know that we gain the most heart healthy benefits around 75% our max effort.
