I am nervous and excited about this weigh in. I am 1.4 lbs away and while I have a plan (IF and carnivore), a woman’s weight can fluctuate for a myriad of reasons. I am hosting game night and watching college football on Saturday but I am focused and will stay the course.
Let’s stay focused. We can do this!

Also Craig, have you thought about an extended fast to get the scale moving? Nothing too crazy, just 48 or 72 hour water fast. It usually works for me.

@Craig D Extended dieting will reduce your RMR. So to keep continually losing you HAVE to exercise or increase the intensity of your current routine by either resistance or duration.

Anyone have any tips on how to tighten loose skin while losing weight? I’ve been averaging 1.5lbs loss per week and have been doing strength training along with cardio so didn’t think it would be an issue but I can definitely see it. Thanks!

Skin can take up to 2 years to retract from weight loss regardless if the loss is fast or slow. Things that affect it are genetics, age, and how much weight you have to lose. My experience is that people with more than 80+ to lose will usually experience it. All you can do is wait it out. People will say fill it out with muscle, but it's improbable to increase muscle on a calorie deficit.

  • I was so confident when I joined this, cause I was dropping weight crazy fast at first. I won 3 other monthly diet bets. But I haven’t lost weight in months, I did lose 40lbs but I’m stuck. I mean I eat healthy and exercise, I’m talking meal preps, only water , little to no sugar and salt, the whole nine, but I’ve been stuck between 212lbs and 218lbs lol. I’m very comfy but as far as diet bet goes I can imagine getting to 198lbs despite everything I’ve tried. Goodbye moneys.

Don’t give up! At very least you’ve given your body the best gift - good health. And health is wealth, so in one sense you can really only get richer from here out! But yes keep going and hopefully we’ll all be sharing the big pot with you at the end of all this!


Aaaah! The dreaded plateau! I just got out of a 3 week plataeu and I did what you did as well for those first 2 weeks. Then my fitness coach suggested that I re-evaluate my intake and/or excercise, so that's what I did and I realized that my treat days were becoming too full of bread-based foods and I was consuming too much wheat/gluten (too much for my body anyways, which is prone to water retention when I eat even a little!). I also had a couple days where I ate a little less/more on purpose to "confuse" my body and those things did the trick! I had a 3 lb. loss right after the weigh-in :tired_face:....but its all good because I found out a way to "shake things up", yet not lose motivation!

When working back muscles and you hear “engage your core” and “form is more important than the weight you’re lifting” LISTEN! I was not focused and checked out during some back work Wednesday and I’m PAYING for it. Day two of ANGRY mid back muscles. Ugh losing some workout days which is fine. I have been a bit obsessed...
