Not bad, but not as good as I had hoped for. I started off good, got in 30 mins of running, but dinner got me. I made homemade clam chowder (something I've never made and it turned out awesome). However, I did not go back for seconds! :-) What about yourself? I work this weekend (I'm an ER nurse) and it's very challenging there food wise. I've got a game plan though.

Hi. I had the help of a free health coach and started a 5/1 program. Kwogni is correct that healthy diet is important. I had to get my metabolism going. That was my key.

I think I've dieted for so long that my metabolism needs jump started. And age, I'm sure, plays a huge factor too.

Age was a factor for me. I met my health coach at a women's event. You can check out: www.helpgettinghealthy.com. It talks about the 5/1 plan. By Monday my body should be burning lots of fat...and the energy... oh my.

Thanks. The difference between the previous 7 failed DietBets and winning this one was the way I ate. I now follow Dr. Jenn Berman's eating philosophy, which is to eat only when hungry, monitor the hunger while eating, and then stop as soon as you feel satisfied. The first week was surprising, as I noticed leftovers on my plate whereas in past I would eat whatever was there.

As for exercise, that didn't change with this DietBet or the other failed 7. I workout about an hour each day between Monday and Thursday at my local gym. Monday can be cardio or weights, Tuesday is Yoga, Wednesday again either cardio or weights, and Thursday is spinning.

One previous staff member at my gym told me if I wanted to see a downward trend in my weight was to add one more minimum 45-minute session after my usual hour-long session. I don't do that as much but on days that I do, it's with one of the fitness titles I have made for the Nintendo Wii game console.

I'm struggling too. :-( This has been way more harder than I anticipated, but I'm happy to see I'm not alone. Seems to be quite a few folks struggling too.

Did you see where I'm thinking about starting a game called Health's Angels? I want a short break, so I'm looking at April 22nd.
