uuugh this is my problem now lol. I have about 5-10 pounds of excess fat I am still trying to get off before I hit maintenance and I think 80% of it is on my stomach..but my body does not want to burn in that area. I think it's a survival instinct from what I've read. Thanks for the motiviational blog, I know if I stick to my healthy habits it will come off eventually! We can do it!

Well, I was hoping to be tall and slender after this diet, but I will have to accept being a smaller version of myself instead. Lol Thanks for the encouragement to stick with it!!!!! I am feeling so much more energy these days and other health benefits!!!

ugh I hate that! I like to feel sore because I know it means my body is changing but sheesh. It can hurt alot! My shoulders are really weak, I've been working on them and they're slowly getting stronger but it drives me crazy when they're in pain! Hope your arm gets better soon!

PlainTriciaJane

Thank you for this! I've been doing lots of weight lifting lately and I usually don't feel it until two days after. Today I was updating a project schedule board and had to use my arm lifted above my head, it was so difficult!

I agree. When I tried to follow crash diets I would always gain all the weight back plus some. This year I just started replacing things. I replaced cheetos with low cal string cheese and whole wheat crackers (for the crunch) and chocolate ice cream with fruit blended ice cream with a 2 drops of nonfat choc syrup (tastes practically the same with 1/4 the calories!) Thanks for the informative blog!

Constance

Thank you. That is good advice. I am getting really close to finding something that works for me and is healthy too. I am also liking my diet the more I see that it makes me feel healthy and happy..... How can you NOT like something that makes you feel so good. It's not about immediate gratification. For me, it's about long-term satisfaction!

I've been loving these blogs! I miss playing in dietbet with you.

I think 2014 gave me ahandle on Emotional Eating... It took my brain an entire year to break the cycle. I lost 40 pounds in the first two months of the year and then struggled to NOT go back to my old habits of emotional eating for the remainder 10 months... I held my own, stayed the same, a first in my life, and I learned to maintain! It is much harder than losing weight.... I now have learned to FEEL MY EMOTIONS as opposed to STUFFING them down with food. Yes, it hurts my heart and tears me up at the time, there is NO instant gratification, but there are also NO regrets the next morning when you wake up!
