Non-scale victory of the week!

Still adulting well, my laptop battery is dying and a bulb in my bedside lamp blew today so u changed that out... man, it never rains, it pours! LOL.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I feel like most of my thoughts aren’t even on my diet right now. I’m too busy stressing about other stuff to worry about food. That can be both a blessing and a curse. Can’t get a plumber out til next week to fix my toilet so I’m having to switch my water off at the mains most of the day and just switch it on when I need to use the bathroom/shower and want cups of water (I’m filling a few at a time so I don’t have to keep turning the handle lol). Srsly, what is life right now!

Focus on sleep. You can’t function when you’re a zombie!

Non-scale victory of the week!

I wouldn’t stretch so far as to say it’s a ‘victory’ as such, but my toilet started leaking and I didn’t freak out! I shut the water off at the mains and picked up the flooring to dry underneath like a proper adult! LOL. But yeah, this week has been stressful. Though I’ve actually had a night of more than 7hrs sleep this week so that’s a win! My sleep has been terrible for weeks and I’m surprised I haven’t come off worse for wear because of it.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Jelly beans still haunt my days, and now pre-TOM hormones are making me crave salt like a mofo. It is a constant battle, CONSTANT.

Non-scale victory of the week!

Nothing to do with weightloss - but the #SaveTimeless Twitter campaign spoke so loudly we are getting A MOVIE!!! I’m so excited! I wish it was a season 3, and we are still working on that, but OMG I cannot wait to see the Time Team again!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Diet hasn’t been the best, though I have sort of lost my appetite with having a cold. I can feel my tummy rumbling sometimes but I don’t have a desire to eat really. I’m having to force myself to eat.

Non-scale victory of the week!

Spoke up at a meeting at work, which I’m not known to do. It was a scary af! I wouldn’t be surprised if I have social anxiety (or certainly generalised) but I’m too scared to go find out lol. But I’m proud I managed to say something. Also things seem to be better with my dad, I think he’s starting to realise I need a different kind of ‘support’. I respond to positive reinforcement and I think he’s starting to get that.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I could have done without caving to hormonal cravings but things will improve after TOM passes.

Non-scale victory of the week!

With the warm weather it is nice to be able to wear dresses! Though I do feel like I’m wearing them out of necessity rather than wanting to.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I caved with my eating because of TOM cravings and there were jelly beans

No jelly beans!!! LOL. Self care is a big thing this week especially as emotionally I am very tender with hormones. And I know that if I maintain weight at my Slimming World group, my dad will not be happy. I still want to cry at the argument we had a couple of weeks ago about it, I wish I felt more supported and worthy of myself to do this.

Long-term goal weight

What do you find most challeging in reaching your long-term weight loss goals?

I’m a binge eater, so portion size and not giving in to cravings are my hotspots. Changing my whole relationship with food is going to be difficult but if I want to enjoy my life I have to change something.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

Keep up my good eating, I haven’t given in to cravings for over a week and I’m feeling really good about that! Keep up my walking, whenever the weather is good I’ll walk the 5 miles home from work, and if I can’t manage that I will slowly increase my time on my exercise bike at home.
